The latest project in our research group was done in cooperation with Austrian metalworking company Metaflex (http://www.metaflex.at). They use angle bending machines to produce individually bent parts of sheet metal for various purposes, and wanted automate their Quality Assurance process.

During my exchange semester in Belgium, I visited the abandoned town of Doel. Due to expansion plans for the port of Antwerp, the town was scheduled for demolition years ago. However, the demolition date was delayed time and time again, because the locals put up resistance.
